Friesland's biggest student soccer tournament: Leeuwarder Student Field Football Championships

We organized the 23rd edition of the Leeuwarder Studentenkampioenschap Veldvoetbal (LSV) last Wednesday, in cooperation with Integraal bestuursorgaan Studentenverenigingen (IBOS Leeuwarden). Over 500 students were present at Sc Leovardia last week to compete for the coveted challenge cup. All educational institutions Firda, NHL Stenden Hogeschool, Hogeschool Van Hall Larenstein, and Campus Fryslân - University of Groningen were represented in enthusiastic teams.

Something new this year: we linked the charity KWF Dutch Cancer Society to LSV. Teams could get sponsored prior to the tournament and thereby raise money for KWF Dutch Cancer Society. All teams, Bewegingscentrum Leeuwarden, Smart Camels, Recruit a Student, Pabo Leeuwarden, Roan Vroom Agriservice, and all other sponsors: thank you for your sponsorship. Together we raised a wonderful amount of €2,827 for cancer research, for KWF Dutch Cancer Society.

All volunteers, referees, players, sponsors, and of course Sc Leovardia, thank you very much as well! Without you, we would never have been able to organize such a great tournament.
