Shinkyokushin karate
Shinkyokushin karate is more than a martial art. It aims to increase mental as well as physical resilience. Self and body control, strength, speed, physical and mental flexibility, willpower and a never give up spirit are the building blocks. Traits that can also come in handy in everyday life.

Karate is a self-defence art that involves training. You learn to defend yourself and become physically and mentally resilient. But it also offers the opportunity to test what you have learned in competitions. Competitions include kumite (free fighting) and kata (technical running forms).

Our members
Our membership is very diverse, ranging from children, families, young adults, students and seniors. Partly because of this, there is a nice, warm and informal atmosphere where everyone helps each other to become even better. Modesty and respect are of paramount importance to us.

Founded in 1993
Our association has existed for more than 30 years. We have a diverse team of teachers that commands great respect nationally and internationally and has produced a large number of champions over the years.

Lesson & training offer
There is a very wide range of lessons on offer, so you can train almost every day if you wanted to. Our classes are held in Leeuwarden with the exception of the Friday evening class, which is held in Stiens. We also offer laminate training (fitness and strength).
